The Rental Edit
The Pop Up
Digital platform Rotaro launched its first pop-up store yesterday on Carnaby Street, giving shoppers the opportunity to see and experience its roster of brands before choosing their favourites to rent, including Stine Goya, Rotate, and JW Anderson. The store will be open for the next two months, so be sure to pop down. There’ll also be workshops and panel discussions with sustainable thought leaders and artist collaborations throughout the summer – so keep an eye out for what’s coming up.

The Collab
Known for its selection of vintage luxury jewellery, Susan Caplan has launched an exclusive partnership with HURR, giving you the opportunity to rent pieces from as little as £30 for up to four days. The collection, which features costume jewellery from Chanel, Givenchy and Dior, means you can wear some iconic pieces for a fraction of the retail price. “I’ve been a long-time fan of Susan Caplan’s work and we’re so excited to bring these pieces to the HURR community as the world opens again,” says founder, Victoria Prew.

The Platform
Most rental platforms lend themselves more to event dressing, but if you’re looking for something for everyday wear, The Devout could be the solution. For a £79 monthly subscription (which includes delivery, collection and cleaning), you can select up to five pieces from brands including & Other Stories, Free People, Reiss and more. At the end of the month, simply return everything and swap them for five different pieces, meaning you still get that ‘new clothes’ feeling – minus the environmental impact.

For Brides
Whether it’s something for a civil ceremony or dress to change into for the latter part of your big day, renting is a great choice for brides who don’t want to fork out for another outfit on top of their main dress – just ask Carrie Symonds. From suits to simple white slips, there are plenty of chic options out there to choose from – all available from the names mentioned above.
