"This season, I’m really impressed with Me + Em’s new collection – my tip as always is to size up. And Raey at MATCHES just gets better and better. Size down on this one. When it comes to footwear it's all about loafers. GH Bass is a favourite, as are the Russell & Bromley Penelopes. My biggest treat, however, has been these Prada slingbacks. I’m always on the lookout for a new belt, too, and two that stand out this season are from Victoria Beckham and Déhanche. For affordable fashion jewellery and belts, I also highly recommend Heaven Mayhem. If I had to choose, it would be these. Recently, I've had my favourite plated gold jewellery pieces re-plated by Fine Matter – it’s a brilliant service.
"As for beauty, I recently discovered Ctzn Cosmetics in the Middle East. The nude duos and lip pencils are something else. Treatment wise I've just had my second Morpheus 8 appointment with Dr David Jack. He uses the Rolls Royce of numbing creams, so it doesn't hurt at all. It's the treatment he says delivers the best results and I'm inclined to agree.
"On TV, I'm very late to this party, but I’m finally watching The White Lotus. I’m also reading 21st Century Business Icons: The Leaders Who Are Changing our World. It couldn't be more up my street and it's fascinating whatever industry you're in. If you want some fresh music, you should listen to my 2023 Spotify playlist. Finally, anyone who knows me knows I could live off Asian food and this is great with tempura prawns and a bit of soy sauce. Sticking to the theme, I highly recommend putting Tajin on everything – from mezcalitas to watermelon."

“This is my absolute favourite time of year – coats, jackets, leather, knitwear! I’m already living in a chunky jumper from Kassl I picked up in the NET-A-PORTER sale, and I have my eye on something from The Row, which is well out of budget but so perfect. Instead, I’ll probably be browsing brands like Babaa, Soft Goat and Almada. I’m not much of a shorts girly, but the ones from Jacquemus are enough to convince me they’re a new-season essential. I’ve been hankering after one of Raey’s signature shearling coats for years, so I’m already counting down the days until it’s cold enough to take it for its first spin.
“Like everyone, The Super Models on Apple TV is at the top of my watch list – the first episode dropped last week and I can’t wait to hear about the golden age of fashion from those who were at its epicentre. Barbara Kingsolver’s Demon Copperhead is also number one on my autumn books list – I just need enough time to get through all 800 pages of it. Like everyone, I’m always thrilled at the prospect of a new Zadie Smith release, so The Fraud, which came out earlier this month, is next up. Finally, I’m going to use the next few months to revisit a few of the London restaurants that shine at this time of year – from a farewell (sob) trip to Le Gavroche to a roast at Islington’s Smokehouse, autumn should – and will – be pure indulgence.”

“Autumn is officially my favourite season and after a pretty lacklustre summer, I am excited to dive into richer tones, layers and tailoring. First on my wish list is this double-breasted wool coat from Mango – size up twice and wear it with something more form-fitting underneath, like these leggings from Raey. In terms of new season accessories, I'm in the market for a new black bag and have fallen hard for this Gucci design. I love the gold chain and I also like a chunky gold necklace and am coveting this one from Alighieri.
“I really enjoy a good sports doc and have just binged The Quarterback on Netflix. It follows three star players through the most recent NFL season all the way through to the finals – my biggest takeaway was that Tom Brady is not just a pretty face. I also can’t wait for Apple TV's Lessons In Chemistry to hit screens in October, with Brie Larsson playing the wonderfully obscure Elizabeth Zott.
“Finally on our family road trip to the US this summer, I discovered the interiors brand RH, previously Restoration Hardware. I was sad to bid it farewell until I discovered that RH has
recently announced the opening of RH England as part of The Gallery at Aynho Park in the Cotswolds. RH England also marks the retailer’s first foray into hospitality with three restaurants: The Orangery, a live-fire concept; The Loggia, an outdoor venue featuring wood-fired pizzas; and The Conservatory, an American-style bistro.”

“I’m not usually one for designer denim but when I spotted these on Angela Lei, I knew I had to have them. I’m also going to say it – bombers are here to stay and I’m obsessed with the oversized fit of this one. Finally I think this might have to be my party piece this year – and beauty-wise, it might not be new but this foundation has really been a game changer in my make-up bag.
“I’m only half way through this book but it has been a big – and terrifying – wake up call so far and if you haven’t watched this four-part series already, I urge you to put it on your list. It’s a true life drama brilliantly adapted by the BBC and with a stellar cast, it’s some of the best television I’ve seen in a long time. Out and about, SHOT is a new coffee bar that takes the experience to the next level and the new Varley store on the King’s Road is unreal – definitely worth a visit.”

“I’m coat-obsessed, so I’ve started selling and donating a few to make room for some new pieces. For example, I have a Damson Madder padded coat making its way to me.. It also comes in brown and green – both colours were big on the AW23 runways. Elsewhere I’ve been hunting for the Sea New York ‘Henrietta’ coat which I can’t stop thinking about. The aim is to find it for (much) less, second-hand, so watch this space. On the knitwear front, I’ve got some great high-street and contemporary pieces I always go back to (my khaki Ganni sweater vest is a piece I’ve worn to death) but I’m ready to invest in some higher-quality knits too – brands like Raey, Soft Goat, No Name and Gobi Cashmere are high on my list.
“As we move into the colder months, my go-to dish to make at home is dhal. Requiring minimum effort but with maximum flavour, it’s adaptable, warming and gut-loving too. Naturally my recipe comes from my grandma, but check out Chetna Makan for easy-to-follow Indian classics. Eating out in the next few months should include a really good Sunday roast – the Cadogan Arms and The Coachmakers Arms are two spots I’m keen to try.”

“After the summer that wasn’t, I’m already bored of my autumn wardrobe. Thankfully, I held back on wearing a couple of fun pieces I bought in the sales in June. I can’t wait to wear this borrowed-from-the-boys striped Drake’s wool jumper over a plain shirt and I have my eye on this green floral dress in the new Meadows collection. The main reason I’ve lived in Brighton for the last decade is the sea. The water is still warm enough to swim – and will be for longer now that I’ve finally taken the plunge and bought an ubiquitous DryRobe. Once the weather truly turns, I’m planning on becoming a member at Sea Lanes Brighton, an open-water swimming pool right on the beach. Finally, one of my favourite things about autumn is all the great culture that arrives as we swap beer gardens for cinemas, theatres and our sofas. On stage, I can’t wait to see the musical Operation Mincemeat and the new adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro; I’m counting down the days until Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn hit our screens; and I have a pile of books almost toppling off my desk, ready to be delved into. Top of my list? Dolly Alderton’s new novel Good Material.”
