Fashion
My favourite designer is Proenza Schouler. I’ve recently been watching Succession and I’m a big fan of Naomi Pierce’s looks in season three – specifically the bouclé off-the-shoulder top she wore in one episode. I also really enjoyed the brand’s presentation at New York Fashion Week – it really encapsulated the cool, sophisticated NY vibe.
One under-the-radar brand everyone should know about is Ciao Lucia. I generally prefer autumn/winter fashion to spring/summer, but it has some beautiful, simple silk separates I’m excited to wear in the warmer weather.
The trend I’m really into right now is platform heels. I recently splurged on some white Saint Laurent Bianca heels. I’d wanted them for months and finally took the plunge. I’ve been wearing them with socks as it’s not exactly been open-toe weather! I can’t wait to wear them with jeans and a tee come the summer.
This spring/summer, the trend I’m going to try and embrace is bold colours. I’m not a big spring/summer person, but I am looking forward to wearing some lighter, brighter colours. Pastels wash me out a bit, but bolder shades are everywhere right now. I loved the way Prada paired them with darker greys in its recent show – I’m taking note.
The best brand for capsule staples is No Name by MM, my mother’s label, which I help her with in my spare time. It’s a cashmere brand and we focus mainly on good quality, wardrobe staples. I live in her sweaters – you can dress them up or down. It’s wonderful to have clothes that aren’t only comfortable, they look beautiful too.
My favourite place to shop is difficult to choose – partly because so many good boutiques have closed. I do have a soft spot for Felt in Chelsea. It’s a jeweller that sells so many special pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
I find a lot of second-hand gems on Vestiaire Collective and Dynasty Designer Wear on Campden Street. I recently found a cute silk polka-dot skirt at the latter – it has a great selection of pre-loved designer pieces.
Beauty
My skincare non-negotiables include Votary’s hyaluronic acid. I’ve been using it religiously and love it. In fact, I need to stock up on another bottle.
As far as make-up goes, I’m loving Rose Inc’s Blush Divine Lip & Cheek Colour, the shade ‘Azalea’ especially. I take it with me everywhere and love that it comes with a compact mirror – perfect for a little on-the-go top-up.
A hair hero I’ve been using lately is Aveda’s Botanical Repair treatment. I apply it to damp hair (post-shampoo) and it’s been a life saver. The chlorine in London’s water makes my hair very frizzy.
I don’t have a signature scent but recently I’ve worn Le Labo’s Another 13 a lot. I got it in my Liberty beauty advent calendar, and I’ve used it every day since.
The one treatment I’d love to try is a facial at Teresa Tarmey in Notting Hill. I’ve heard amazing things.
My workout of choice is KXU yoga.
Travel
Milan is my idea of the ideal city break. I lived there for a year and a half, and miss it terribly. Make sure you visit the Fondazione Prada if you go – it’s Prada’s contemporary art museum. It’s got a beautiful café and a really good variety of exhibitions.
The next holiday I’m taking is to Formentera in July. I’ve never been before, but I’ve heard it’s so beautiful. My boyfriend and I are staying at a boutique hotel called Casa Pacha which is right on the beach – I can’t wait.
My new favourite restaurant is Sabor, just off Regent Street. It does delicious Spanish tapas and it’s great if you like being spontaneous. I appreciate places where you don’t always have to book.
For style inspiration, I follow @MajaWyh – one of my all-time favourites. I just love her animated selfies and she wears such special pieces.
The interiors account everyone should know about is @QuincocesDrago. They’re a design duo – one is Norwegian and the other is Spanish – and the way they blend Scandinavian elements with softer Mediterranean styles is simply gorgeous.
For a bit of wanderlust, it doesn’t get better than @HannaMW, a Swedish stylist. She posts mostly about fashion but travels a lot for work, and I love the way she perfectly captures each destination. She makes me want to go to all these places!
If you need a bit of glamour in your life, follow @The_Attico. No one does grunge-y glamour quite like the brand’s founders Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio.
Finally, everyone should follow @SophiaRoe. I love her style, but she also posts a lot of inspiration, like different brand campaigns and interiors shots – her feed is so well-rounded.
Food & Drink
My breakfast of choice is a buttery croissant, always.
The snack I always have on me is Deliciously Ella’s cookie dough bites. I have a real sweet tooth, and this more than satisfies my sugar craving.
My guilty pleasure has to be Pick ‘n’ Mix – although I haven’t found anything as good as Norwegian sweets here in the UK yet. Though I suppose I am also partial to a Percy Pig.
My go-to cocktail is a spicy margarita.
Culture
The app I couldn’t live without is Vogue Runway. It’s a great way to see and digest all the new collections, and the street style tab is really fun to look at – especially during fashion week.
The podcast I’ve been listening to most is River Café’s Table 4. It’s hosted by the owner, Ruth Rogers, who interviews some of her most famous guests, including Victoria Beckham and Jake Gyllenhall. They mainly talk about what they love most about food.
The Francis Bacon exhibition at the Royal Academy is brilliant – I’ve been twice already. Book a ticket now – it’s the perfect rainy Sunday activity.
I recently binged Dopesick, which is about the opioid crisis in the US. I read a book on the same subject last year, and I thought the series was so well made – fascinating and shocking in equal measure.
Strokes of Genius is a film I really enjoyed recently. It’s about the Wimbledon final in 2008 between Nadal and Federer – I love tennis and this documentary is brilliant.
