My favourite Christmas gift was one I gave to myself – my Chanel ‘dad’ sandals. They were the most popular shoes during the summer of 2020, and I knew I had to get my hands on them. I ended up buying them through a personal shopper I found on Instagram, and I can say, without doubt, they’re the best money I've ever spent. They’re timeless and the perfect way to elevate any summer outfit. It also helps that they’re the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned!

I don’t celebrate Christmas as I’m Jewish, but the best gift I ever received was a vintage necklace from my parents. I’m someone who thinks through every purchase (I’m not at all impulsive) but the moment I saw this piece, I knew it had to be mine. My mum got it from a vintage jeweller in NYC called Turner & Tatler which has some very special and unique pieces (there’s also an online store if you can’t get to New York). The owner finds antiques from all over the world and reworks them into something that still feels vintage, but with a more modern twist. This necklace is very precious, but easy to style, so I wear it all the time. It makes me so happy every time I look at it.

A few years ago I received a gold Larsson & Jennings boyfriend-style watch from my sister, which I've worn every day since. You’ll see it in almost every photo on my daily outfit account @TheMirrorEdit, and I am always asked where it's from. I don't think you can beat a gift that is both beautiful and practical, and this really encapsulates that.

I can’t decide just one favourite, so there are two pieces that really stick out in my mind. Firstly, these Chanel earrings, which were a gift from my husband two years ago. They’re super special to me I’d never owned anything Chanel before, and I just love how statement they are. I also have to mention a YSL handbag I bought myself three years ago. It was my first ever designer handbag and though I’ve purchased others since, this one holds a special place in my heart – I thought I deserved a Christmas treat from me to me!

My favourite gift has to be the Saint Laurent De jour bag I bought for myself. It has such sentimental value. I had wanted it for years, so I was very happy when I found the exact shade. It's a piece I’ll have forever.

One of my favourite Christmas presents is a red satin pair of Manolo Blahnik heels, bought by my then fiancé, now husband. I wore them for our wedding night party to match a red bespoke dress I had made by Emilia Wickstead. I still love wearing them – they’re true classics.

The best Christmas gift is the same one I’ve received every year from my husband since we started dating – the Bois D’Argent fragrance by Dior. I wore it on our wedding day, so it evokes very special memories for us both. It’s such a unique scent – mysterious and sensual, delicately feminine yet smoky at the same time. The bottle also lasts me the whole year, so it really is the gift that keeps on giving. A close second would be my Loewe cushion bag in orange canvas – which was also a gift from my husband. We walked into a Loewe store together and while I was looking at a different bag, he spotted it and said it was very ‘me’. It’s the perfect sized tote and although it’s orange, it goes with everything.

Some of my most cherished presents over the years have been my rings – whenever I’ve wanted to commemorate a milestone or celebrate something, either my parents have bought me one or I’ve purchased one for myself. Whenever I look down at my hands, I always remember not only my family but also a time in my life, which feels very special to me. I like to invest in jewellery that can be worn everyday with every outfit, so the cost per wear reduces! This Christmas I hope to treat myself to a little Cartier ring shaped like a panther – Santa, if you’re listening, I wouldn’t mind finding it under the tree.

The best gift I’ve ever received was when I was pregnant in 2000. My husband gave me a Burberry tote bag to use as a baby bag – back then I was obsessed with the brand, plus I remember it was a really special time. Sadly, I don’t still have it, or any pictures of me using it, as this was before the days of Instagram, but thinking about it has made me realise that the sentiment behind a gift is ultimately what makes something special.

My top Christmas gift has to be a Chanel pearl necklace, which my husband bought me as a surprise about 20 years ago. He managed to hide it so well – I really didn’t expect it, which made the surprise all the better. It had always been my dream to have some Chanel pearls in my collection. To this day, I still wear them a lot – it’s probably my favourite necklace.
