Who’s Behind It?
Former brand developer and consultant Sasha Plavsic is the brains behind Ilia. Wanting products that were safer for her skin, she launched the brand to create conscious formulas that could rival some of the conventional greats already on the shelves.
Acknowledging how hard it is to create a more natural formula, Sasha has previously said the brand is a hybrid of safe synthetics and skin-loving ingredients, with a large percentage of certified organic and bio-active botanicals from ethical and sustainable sources that are used wherever feasible. This ensures everything performs as it should but without aggravating the skin or causing sensitives – something that was important from the off.
Loved for its range of skincare-powered make-up, Ilia specialises in products that use nourishing ingredients to take care of your complexion. In fact, its motto is: ‘Wake up skin, make-up the rest.’
