How To Find The Skincare You Really Want To Use

At one time, it was hard to see beauty succeeding in the digital space. But no longer – today, brands are proving it can be done thanks to digital consultations giving customers the chance to discover new products in a way that’s convenient for them. Few have done it quite as well as Clarins. Its new – and free – virtual consultation replicates the in-store experience online thanks to a highly personal and tailored approach. The solution is a two-way call with a Clarins beauty expert, which can happen on a laptop, phone or tablet – the choice is yours. Here’s more on what you can expect…

CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CLARINS

The Whole Service Is Tailored To You

Your virtual consultation will begin with a Clarins Beauty Coach asking you about your current skincare routine and any issues you may have – be it acne, rosacea or dryness. As you continue to explain your concerns, the same expert will quietly build you a new skincare regime. Expect to be asked questions along the lines of: tell me about your routine? What products do you like using? And how does your skin texture feel? They may also ask you about other products you use – like your shampoo and conditioner – to see how this may be impacting your complexion.

Each Session Will Fit Around Your Schedule

Average sessions are 20-30 minutes long, but you can make it shorter if you want – especially if you’re on your lunchbreak. You can also answer some quickfire questions via the brand’s live service (available Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm) where you can access experts direct by simply clicking on the ‘expert advice’ tab. Here you’ll find simpler questions such as ‘Does this have SPF in?’ and ‘Where should this item come in my routine?’

The Advice Comes From Top Experts

A safe space in which to get all your personal questions answered, the Clarins Virtual Consultation gives you access to some of the best beauty experts in the industry – so you can shop smarter. The brand’s Beauty Coaches are all trained skincare therapists and have often spent time working on some of the country’s most popular beauty counters – think Harrods and Selfridges. They’ll offer you highly-tailored advice, as well as some tips and tricks to ensure you get the most out of your new products – plus, they’ll explain what every ingredient does, and which ones will work best for your skin.

There Are Free Samples On Offer

You only need to purchase one item during your consultation to receive three free samples – giving you the chance to try more before you buy. The service isn’t about the hard sell, though – there’s no pressure to buy anything at all if you’re not convinced. That said, every client will receive their own profile after the consultation where all your recommendations will be stored – so even if you decide not to buy there and then, you can go back at a later date if you change your mind.

Cameras Are Entirely Optional

Feeling a bit camera shy? Opt for a one-way video call to watch and follow your Clarins Beauty Coach in privacy. The entire service is seriously laidback, and nothing is forced – it’s entirely in your hands. It has to be said, however, that you may find you get more out of the experience with your camera turned on – simply so your expert can assess your skin properly.

Check-Ins Are Advised

After your virtual consultation, you’ll be encouraged to follow up with a free review roughly six to 12 weeks later. At this stage, you can discuss the routine you were prescribed, any products you’re loving – or not – and whether anything needs to change. After all, our skincare needs rarely stay the same, and the Clarins Beauty Coaches want to ensure you’re happy. They’ll also make some new recommendations, as well as some fresh tips.
