THE MOVIE TRAILER:

Challengers

We were hooked as soon as we found out Zendaya was in this new film – and now the trailer has dropped, we can safely say it looks like a must-watch. Tashi Duncan (Zendaya) is a former tennis prodigy turned coach who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. She’s now responsible for training her husband, but is getting caught up in what looks like a love triangle with her former lover and best friend. Zendaya stars alongside Mike Faist (West Side Story) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown).

THE EYEWEAR COLLECTION:

GANNI x Ace & Tate

Cool Danish label GANNI and Dutch eyewear specialist Ace & Tate have launched a sunglasses collaboration. Bringing together GANNI’s iconic design aesthetic and Ace & Tate’s expertise in eyewear, the collection features three designs adorned with the GANNI logo. Think Y2K made modern.

THE SNACK:

Cadbury Salted Caramel Fingers

Cadbury has released a salted caramel version of its iconic chocolate fingers. The classic finger biscuit is now coated in Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, with added caramel flavouring and a hint of salt. We think they’re the perfect snack to pick up in time for your next summer picnic or girlie get together. Available at most local supermarkets now.

THE RESORT WEAR:

Adanola Resort Vol.2

We’ve long been fans of Adanola gym and loungewear, so we’re thrilled to see the brand venture into resortwear for summer. Aptly named ‘Resort’, this new collection marks the second drop, with a renewed focus on lightweight basics in fun colours. Our favourite pieces include the striped shorts and trousers, as well as the bright blue shorts and jumper set.

THE MAKE-UP LAUNCH:

Huda Beauty Colour Correctors

These new correctors harness opposing colours to neutralise unwanted discoloration and tone. For years, brighter colours like green and purple have been used by make-up pros to correct and conceal, but these peachier tones cancel out darkness and pigmentation to create a blank canvas that’s prepped and primed for other products. Available in five peachy-pink shades, there’s something for every skin tone, while the formula matches that of Huda Beauty’s already much-beloved FauxFilter concealer.

THE FOODIE OPENING:

Wonderland Soho

Wonderland is the latest opening from Alex and Oliver Santoro. It’s inspired by the nostalgic films the brothers grew up watching and their time in the movie industry. Opening on Soho’s Old Compton Street, it will serve sustainable meat and meat-free options. The menu will feature twists on well-loved classics including the 'Royale with cheese' burger: a grass-fed 100% Aberdeen Angus beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, homemade ‘Wonder Sauce’ and gherkins; the vegan alternative will be made with a plant-based ‘beef’ patty. Other options include Korean-inspired chicken wings and a jalapeño-infused buttermilk fried chicken sandwich – again, with vegan options available.

THE HIGH-FASHION COLLAB:

Adidas x Wales Bonner

The latest drop from adidas and Grace Wales Bonner screams sporty luxe. The British designer is known for reimagining vintage silhouettes in refreshing colour palettes, while drawing on her Jamaican heritage. The collection features a matching teal nylon tracksuit, a striking silver anorak with matching shorts, and the introduction of a jacket and flared trouser set. Other pieces to look out for include the towelling top and shorts set and, of course, the iconic WB Sambas.

THE CAMPAIGN:

Casablanca ‘Futuro Optimisto’

Casablanca Paris has just launched a futuristic campaign. Aptly named ‘Futuro Optimisto’, it is the fashion house’s first venture into AI. Creative director Charaf Tajer has partnered with British photographer and AI artist Luke Nugent to bring the campaign to life. Together, they explain: “The [campaign] combines a sense of realism with a dreamlike haze, capturing scenes that incorporate both real and imagined worlds. Landscapes are harmonised by Casablanca’s stalwart sense of creative direction, and inimitable design language, bridging the gap between nature and progressive technology.”

THE TV SHOW:

The Summer I Turned Pretty – Season 2

We binged the books and loved season one – so we can’t wait for the next season of Jenny Han's coming-of-age tale to drop on Amazon Prime. The second series follows another summer at Cousins Beach with the original cast all returning, along with a couple of new faces. Plus, there’s a new Taylor Swift soundtrack to accompany the episodes – with fans speculating it will include tracks from her yet-to-be-released re-recorded album Speak Now

THE SUSTAINABLE ACCESSORY:

Ocean Bottle x Little Mermaid Collab

To celebrate the release of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Ocean Bottle has created the ‘One World’ bottle to highlight the importance of and celebrate the ocean. Every Ocean Bottle sold stops the equivalent of 1,000 plastic bottles from reaching the ocean and is made from recycled ocean plastic. Embedded with an NFC enabled smart-chip, customers can register their bottle on the Ocean Bottle mobile app to further fund the collection of ocean-bound plastic (for free) each time they register a refill.

THE FOOD FESTIVAL:

Hyper Japan

Hyper Japan is the UK’s biggest festival of Japanese culture – and it’s back for a 13th year on 21st-23rd July. It’s home to the most authentic Japanese cuisine you can get your hands on in London, including rice bowls, yakisoba and matcha sweets in collaboration with Miffy. The festival will put artwork from the world-famous manga series Attack on Titan and Blue Lock on display for fans to enjoy, and there’s also a highly anticipated cosplay contest.
