A Friendsmas Celebration

A classic Christmas dinner might seem like an obvious option but it never fails to be one of my favourite evenings. If you’re not up for cooking a full roast you could opt for making some smaller festive bites to share, like these Christmas stuffing sausage rolls from Mob Kitchen or learn how to perfect your baked camembert. This year, I want to upgrade my Christmas tableware with these wavy placemats from H&M, Meri Meri candy cane candlesticks and nutcracker napkins from Anna + Nina. Despite it being winter, don’t shy away from adding some greenery to your table – using red flowers as a centrepiece will tie your table together and add an extra festive touch.

A Festive Movie Night

One of the best things about this time of year is being able to rewatch all of the classic Christmas movies with your friends. Some personal favourites are Home AloneElf and The Holiday. Level up your next movie night with matching PJs and a cosy duvet cover – this is the best excuse to bring your duvet onto the sofa. These festive mugs from Anthropologie are made for hot chocolate, and the Very Merry Munch from M&S is the perfect snack to share. If you’re planning on baking something for your movie night, let it be the Christmas NYC cookies by Jane’s Patisserie.

A Gingerbread House Making Evening

Decorating a gingerbread house is always nostalgic but never gets old. If you're not baking your gingerbread from scratch, my favourite DIY gingerbread house kit is from Flying Tiger – but you can also find kits in most supermarkets. Each person can decorate their own house, or you can pair up to build your house as a team. The best part is that you can be as creative as you want with decorations, from chocolate buttons to marshmallows, smarties to candy canes. My top tip is don’t skimp on the baking glue. It’s the best way to stop your gingerbread house from falling down.
