THE BEAUTY LAUNCH:
Kiki World
New beauty brand Kiki World doesn’t launch products depending on what marketing executives or ad agencies think – it lets the customer decide by asking them what they like and what they’re missing. Not only does this cut back on over-production, it’s also done in an innovative, safe way using blockchain technology. As for the products themselves, the peel-off, touch-up nail pens are a favourite. Plus, the team is currently gathering votes for new colours of a long-lasting face and body liquid paint pen – perfect for liner or eyeshadow.

This includes ‘The O Fries’ – the perfect balance of sweet and salty; ‘The Big Twist Burger’ which uses a charcoal bun to look just like the iconic cookie; and ‘The Twist & Shake’ milkshake made with a moreish Oreo crumb mixed with Chicken Shop’s classic chocolate sauce.

THE BOOK:
You Could Be So Pretty by Holly Bourne
Holly Bourne is a keen feminist and women's rights activist. Her latest book investigates the messy truths of modern beauty standards. Set in a world where feminism is no longer a ‘dirty word’, she explores the contradictions and pressures that young women face. The book encourages young girls and women to think more deeply about the definition of beauty, social media validation, airbrushing, disordered eating, exercise addiction and the dangers of plastic surgery. She’s sold over 500,000 copies of her previous books, so we’re sure this will be another hit.
