The LG Team’s Self-Care Favourites
Saroop
I’m all about dewy, hydrated skin, so my routine focuses on rich, nourishing textures and brightening ingredients. The Egyptian Magic Cream is a staple – it’s thick, balmy and gives my skin that healthy, glazed finish I love. The Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Oil is another favourite, the turmeric really helps brighten and even out my complexion. I’m also on my fourth tub of Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream, which says it all. It’s creamy, cooling and instantly makes me look more awake. Finally, I’ve also been loving the Erborian Bamboo Super Serum for a lightweight hydration hit that leaves my skin feeling plump and fresh.

I enjoy romanticising every cosy evening. From the moment I get in from work to the minute I switch my lights off at night, I take self-care very seriously. It all starts in the shower, where I use my D.S. & Durga body wash. The scent is incredible – if you also enjoy moody and androgynous notes, you’ll love this too. Step two is to light a candle – without one the cosy vibe is incomplete. I recently picked this up from Zara Home; I tend to opt for deeper and woodier scents in the evening. Finally, I cannot go to bed without my Drowsy sleep spray and my Neom calming pen, both of which have massively improved my sleep quality. I repeat these steps seven days a week and enjoy every minute.

My self-care routine at this time of year always starts by lighting a candle to set the mood. The Cedarwood & Ginger Candle from Apotheke is my go-to: its warm, spicy scent screams cosy season. After a bath or shower, I love using the Anillo Fig Whisky Body Oil. The scent is incredible, like a soft mix of fig and amber, and it sinks in beautifully, leaving my skin with such a healthy sheen. Then, I use the Saltair Santal Bloom Body Butter; the texture is rich, velvety and the two products together leave skin soft, smooth and never greasy. Before bed, I finish with the Naturium Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream. It’s deeply hydrating without feeling heavy and I wake up to plump, dewy skin that feels completely revived.

I, like many people, tend to get dry and flaky around this time of year, so my cosy season essentials are all about staying hydrated and dewy. My go-to moisturiser is the Soap & Glory Body Butter which I’ve used my whole life and it has never failed me. Shea butter is so good for barrier repair and this is a formula I can rely on. I also keep my lips smooth with the Drunk Elephant Balm; it’s buttery soft and feels amazing on. To get the dry and scaly skin off my face, I swear by the Beauty of Joseon Peeling Mask; it’s both disgusting and satisfying watching your dead skin fall into the sink but it’s hands down the best exfoliant I have ever used. Finally, I can’t be without my Tatcha Rice Water Face Wash, I use this all year round; it’s one product that’s truly worth the hype.

Winter is all about slowing down and these are my favourites for a little seasonal self-care. Neom’s Great Day Magnesium Body Butter keeps my skin smooth and my muscles warm after an evening workout, Summer Fridays’ Jet Lag Eye Patches erase any sign of tired, dark mornings and Olaplex’s Weightless Nourishing Mask brings my hair back from the brink after one-to-many slick-back buns. I finish it all off by lighting my Glossier You Candle – the warm, musky scent makes every night feel calm, cosy and a little bit special.
