Into Air by Dawn Ng
Singaporean artist Dawn Ng will exhibit for the first time in London at St Cyprian’s Church in Marylebone until Saturday 23rd July. Into Air includes photographs, paintings, installations and videos inspired by one of the world’s most precious minerals, ice. Each work explores how ice stands, loiters, hangs and gravitates, and takes on different colours in habitats around the world. Look out for the striking installations created with plastic sheets and sculptural blocks of frozen pigments.

THE FESTIVAL:
Norfolk Food & Drink Festival at Holkham Estate
North Norfolk’s Food & Drink Festival takes place within the pretty walled garden at the Holkham Estate on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September. Visitors can try samples and buy food from 65 artisan producers, selling treats like gin, chocolate, bread, cheese and chutney. You can also watch local chefs in action at The Cookery Theatre, including Scott Taylor from The Harper hotel in Langham. Expect live music, entertainment and activities for grandchildren, like storytelling and face painting. Tickets are free, but there is a £5 charge for parking.

SHIOK! at Pan Pacific London
Celebrity chef Cherish Finden (Bake Off The Professionals) has opened her first standalone patisserie at Pan Pacific London in Liverpool Street. SHIOK! has interiors designed by Tom Dixon Studios and showcases patisseries inspired from Cherish’s childhood, like baking with her grandmother and cups of tea with her grandfather. The menu includes sweet treats like petits gateaux, chocolate bonbons, travel cakes, cookies, tarts and Chinese teas. You can also order breakfast (think fluffy buns with summer berries and shokupan sausage rolls) and grown-up bubble teas.

Angela Hartnett Café Murano Book Club
If you missed out on Angela Hartnett’s book club supper last month, tickets have just gone on sale for the next evening in the series which takes place at her restaurant Café Murano on Sunday 31st July from 6pm. The Michelin-starred chef will be joined by Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, founders of Honey & Co in Bloomsbury. They’ll discuss their latest cookbook Chasing Smoke: Cooking Over Fire Around the Levant, which features dishes from the Middle East. THE OPENING:
Frogmore House
Frogmore House set within Windsor Home Park is reopening its doors for the first time since 2019 as part of its annual charity garden open days. For three days in late summer, visitors can look around the historic 17th-century building and its landscaped gardens on Tuesday 30th August, Wednesday 31st August and Thursday 1st September. Proceeds will go towards three charities: National Garden Scheme, Mothers’ Union and Guide Dogs. The house has been home to royals over the centuries, including Queen Charlotte (the wife of George III), The Duchess of Kent and The Queen Mother. On your tour, look out for Queen Victoria's Tea House and the 18th-century lake. Tickets cost £10pp.

The Black Lamb, Wimbledon Village
The Black Lamb is the sixth outpost from the Gladwin Brothers, the family behind popular London restaurants The Shed and Sussex Soho. The neighbourhood venture offers all-day dining from a menu which showcases countryside classics with the use of wild, homegrown ingredients. Menu highlights include grilled asparagus with truffle emulsion; chorizo, labneh, sweet kale and crispbread; pan-fried seabass with purple cauliflower and monk’s beard; and gooseberry curd tart with torched lemon thyme meringue marshmallow. Diners can also enjoy a selection of English sparkling wines from the Gladwin family’s Nutbourne vineyards in West Sussex.
