I’m looking for lift and structure and, since I’m not anywhere near considering a face lift (yet, never say never!) the treatments I’ve turned to are focused on restoring volume, erasing lines and generating as much collagen as possible. I’ve been having neurotoxin injections (better known as Botox) for over a decade, most recently with [Dr David Jack](https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=23081&awinaffid=69421&platform=dl&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fdrdavidjack.com%2F) who is swift, precise and truly personalises the placement and dose, giving me just enough to lift my brows and erase some deep-set lines without freezing my forehead. To firm and tighten from my neck all the way up to my hairline, I’ve found [Sofwave](https://sofwave.com/) [ ](https://sofwave.com/)really effective. A device that harnesses ultrasound energy, delivering the waves to a precise depth in the skin to speed up collagen and elastin production, it has really helped to make me look less tired and bring bounce back to my skin. The treatment is famously uncomfortable, however [Dr Galyna Selezneva](https://www.instagram.com/dr_galyna/), based in Knightsbridge, has a unique (and secret) technique which meant I only winced once or twice during the 30 minute session. Biostimulators that gradually stimulate collagen production in injected areas are having a real moment, so I opted to try [Sculptra](https://www.sculptrausa.com/). It’s actually been around for about 20 years but has had some ‘upgrades’ that have brought it back into the limelight – deservedly so if my results are anything to go by. [ Dr Ash Soni](https://www.instagram.com/thesoniclinic/), based between Ascot and London, injected it via a cannula into each cheek, guiding the product around the lower face. This took about 15 seconds per side with a little pressure and slight pinching sensation, nothing more. One risk with Sculptra is that the product doesn’t diffuse evenly, so I was diligent with the ‘5-5-5’ massaging task: firmly massaging the area five times a day for five minutes over five days. This helps the product melt into the skin, allowing it to steadily stimulate collagen to restore lost volume, lift jowling, fill out hollows, pull back nasolabial folds and bring bounce back to the skin. Three sessions later (so three months from my first appointment) the results are amazing: my cheekbones are more sculpted, the jowls that had started to appear are gone and a sharper jawline has replaced them. My skin feels so healthy and firm. The best part is that the results can last for well over a year, as the product encourages ongoing collagen production. ## Alessandra Steinherr ### Beauty Editor & SheerLuxe Contributor At 50, I am very much in the ‘do a bit, not everything’ camp when it comes to tweakments. I have never chased a frozen face or tried to rewind to 25. For me, it’s about staying recognisable, looking rested and feeling like the best version of myself. I started getting Botox in my 40s. I did not feel the need before then because I have always been obsessive about skincare and generally very diligent with minimising excessive sun exposure, strategic supplementation and regular facials. But the truth is, even the most dedicated routine can’t stop muscle-driven wrinkles. I have top-ups twice a year (between my brows, around my eyes, and once a year through the neck and jawline) and it remains my number one treatment. It just softens everything enough that I look fresher, without stopping me from being able to move my face. I’m also very particular about who I trust with my face. This year, I had an injectable called [Structura Profhilo](https://www.profhilo.co.uk/profhilo-structura) with [Dr Wassim Taktouk](https://www.instagram.com/drwassimtaktouk/), which for me is more about supporting a face that’s starting to drop rather than changing its shape. It targets the fat tissue that has started to sink with age, particularly in areas like the mid-face, lower cheeks and jawline. I see it as scaffolding. You’re not inflating or filling, you’re improving the quality of the skin so it behaves better. I’ve been genuinely thrilled with the results and have already booked a follow-up session. I’ve had PDRN (also known as polynucleotides or ‘salmon sperm’) treatments with Dr Ash Soni, specifically under my eyes. This is one of those regenerative treatments that sits quietly in the background but makes your skin stronger and more resilient over time. It’s not flashy but it’s clever, and I like treatments that work with the skin rather than against it. One treatment I really rate is [Aerolase](https://www.aerolase.com/en-gb). It’s brilliant for calming redness, tightening pores and giving the skin a clearer, more refined look without downtime or any pain (in the hands of [Dr Brendan Khong](https://www.instagram.com/drbrendankhong/)). It’s one of those lasers that feels clever rather than aggressive. Your skin just looks calmer, more even and generally healthier afterwards. It sits perfectly alongside injectables because it improves how the skin behaves. Around my lips, I tried Profhilo with [Dr Timm Golueke](https://www.instagram.com/drtimmgolueke/). I do not want lip filler but I have definitely noticed a loss of definition around the mouth. It’s like the edges get softer and everything starts to shrink a bit. The product is placed just above the lip line, into the skin rather than the lips themselves. It does not add volume at all. It simply smooths and sharpens the contour, which is exactly what I want. I won’t lie, it’s uncomfortable. I’m not a hero when it comes to pain but it’s bearable and the result is subtle. No trout-pout in sight. ## Sarah Templeman ### Head Of Broadcasting & Talent 2025 was all about tightening and re-surfacing for me. I had really noticed a lot of skin changes, such as a softening jawline and fine lines that had felt gradual over the last few years that suddenly began to accelerate. I wanted to get ahead of it before it took hold, as I’m not quite ready for a facelift (not yet anyway). I didn't want a dramatic transformation. I just wanted people to say, ‘You look amazing!’ rather than ‘What work have you had done?’. After chatting to [Dr Nina Bal](https://www.instagram.com/drninafacialsculpting/) at her clinic and [Dr. Thivos](https://www.instagram.com/dr_thivos/) at [Ouronyx](https://ouronyx.com/services), I embarked on a year-long journey combining three devices: [NeoGen](https://www.neogen.com/en/), [EmFace](https://www.emface.clinic/) [ ](https://www.emface.clinic/)and [InMode](https://www.instagram.com/inmodeuk/) C[ ](https://www.instagram.com/inmodeuk/)ontoura. First up was a course of three Neogen treatments starting in January. This works deeply within the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, tone and overall luminosity. As it relies on nitrogen plasma rather than light or heat alone, it promotes skin regeneration without thinning the surface, addressing various concerns like wrinkles, acne scars and pigmentation, creating a more refined surface. The downtime is about a week: I had quite a bit of redness and my skin felt a little tender but I was able to cover the evidence with make-up. To help, I combined the third treatment with polynucleotides as they support a faster recovery, so if this is an option for you in terms of time and cost, it's definitely worth it. Next up was three sessions of EmFace stacked with InMode Contoura. Whereas NeoGen targets skin quality, this duo is designed to support the face structurally, strengthening the muscles and tightening the skin to help with lift. EmFace uses a combination of HIFES™ technology (high-intensity facial muscle stimulation) and radiofrequency, to strengthen key facial muscles and bring things upwards again. The effect is subtle but noticeable: lifted cheeks, a more open eye area and improved facial definition. It’s pain-free but feels a little weird when your muscles are twitching. The final step was InMode Contoura, which targets areas where the skin may be losing elasticity or where slight, stubborn pockets of fat can soften the overall contour. Using radiofrequency and thermal energy, the combined treatment tightens laxity and refines shape, particularly along the jawline, under the chin and around the lower face. If you’re not up for downtime this has none: I could put my make-up on and go back to the office with confidence. Together, these three treatments have created a filler-free, rejuvenated look. Rather than relying on volume to disguise ageing, they’ve helped to rebuild my skin’s structure and tighten the areas prone to sagging. ## Mia Luckie ### Director Of Marketing & Innovation After more than five years and two rounds of lip filler, I finally decided to dissolve the remaining product and the experience was nothing like the ordeal I’d imagined. Over time, a small amount of the filler had migrated, creating an imbalance I was keen to resolve. To anyone else it probably wasn’t noticeable but I could see it and it subtly changed the look of my upper lip. I’d put off having it dissolved for years, convinced the process would leave me swollen, bruised and out of action for days. One treatment I’m not turning my back on is HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound), which I’ve been having over the past year and has really helped define my non-existent jawline and tackle my double chin. It’s become one of my favourite tweakments because it works gradually, tightening and lifting in a really natural way. There’s no downtime, no swelling, just a steady improvement that’s helped reshape my lower face and give me the definition I’ve always wanted.
