FOR A GIRLS’ DAY OUT: The National Wedding Show

One of the UK’s biggest wedding shows returns to London ExCeL this spring, between 23rd-24th April, where future brides can meet a wide range of wedding suppliers from across the south-east. There’ll be plenty of wedding inspiration on offer – including full-scale runway shows, live interviews on the WedTalk stage and tailored advice on destination weddings and honeymoons. At the end of the day, we recommend relaxing with a glass of fizz at the Viktor & Rolf Champagne Bar. Those willing to shell out for the VIP experience can enjoy a complimentary drink, an exclusive goodie bag and reserved catwalk seats. Tickets cost £18.50 per adult – advance booking is essential.

FOR BRIDAL PARTYWEAR: The Own Studio Mini Drop

The latest Own Studio mini drop is designed to meet demand for ‘9pm switch up’ party outfits from contemporary brides. The East London label has added four new pieces to its core collection: beautiful mix-and-match options include a sequin mini skirt and matching sequin crop top, along with a silk satin mini and matching silk shirt. “The party outfit is now as important as the main dress – so many women want to change their look and brides want the wedding wardrobe to extend beyond the ceremony,” explain co-founders Jess Kaye and Rosie Williams. “But they still want to be savvy about it, which is why they’re looking for pieces they can mix and match across the wedding weekend and afterwards, too.”

FOR STATIONERY: Papier x Temperley London

British designer Alice Temperley has collaborated with one of our favourite brands to come up with a concise and curated edit of wedding stationery. Drawing on the Temperley London archives and the intricate details of some of its most iconic dresses, the collection is split into three themes: Delft Blue, Bibi and Spring Rustic. A celebration of craftmanship and the English countryside, the pieces – which run from invitations to guest books – are decorated with whimsical bumblebees, intricate lace and romantic wildflowers, showcasing the modern elegance and sense of fantasy that Temperley’s garments are known for.
