How To Wear Converse Now

Eternally affordable, enduring and versatile, it’s no wonder Converse high tops are one of the most popular trainers ever made – and we haven’t even mentioned that classic silhouette. To keep yours looking fresh in 2024, here’s how the fashion team are styling them right now…

The timeless All Star high tops in white are the perfect pairing to my minimalist and classic wardrobe style. Day to day I style them with a navy tracksuit and an oversized shearling jacket for a put-together, off-duty look. I’ve added this chic white cap to home in on the effortless American street vibe of the brand. For a more structured look, I pair the trainers with some dark blue jeans and a studded belt for a textured yet pared-back base. I’ll add an oversized jumper and some gold jewellery to tie the look together.

Converse have always been my go-to when I want to refine my outfits with some colour. These khaki high tops have been a wardrobe staple of mine for years. I’ve always travelled with them as they’re a reliable and comfortable style that I can pair with all of my summer denim and white linen looks, as well as my winter leathers. At the minute I’m combining them with a tonal beanie or knitted hood for a cohesive, colourful look while breaking up the colour with some white denim jeans for a relaxed take on American chic.

While Converse’s classic styles will always have a place in my wardrobe, I recently had a gap in my collection for a pair of trainers with a bit of colour — and these slotted in perfectly. I love that they work with off-duty looks but are also versatile enough to be styled up like this with a stylish coat and a good pair of jeans. To complete the look, I’ve added a knit around my shoulders — and love the way these brown and beige tones work with the red pop of the shoes.

Black high top converse have been in my wardrobe for years. A go-to outfit formula for me is double-denim with my Converse and a smart tailored coat. Here I’m wearing an H&M shirt and Agolde jeans – I always feel really comfortable in this look so it’s become one of my most worn. I especially like Converse in the winter for warmth, but find that I reach for them all year round, making them such a staple. Right now, I’m loving the red trend, so to add a pop of colour I’ve styled a jumper over my shoulders. Finally, to accessorise I’ve added my favourite Celine sunglasses.

Ever since I was a teenager, Converse have been part of my style. I've had so many colours through the years, but right now I'm obsessed with this brown pair. They work with all the grey, navy and cream in my wardrobe, and can equally be styled with colour-pop trousers. I like to add an extra touch with a flash of a red or burgundy sock ruched down at the top.
