The Fashion Team’s Favourite Rentals

As long as you do your research, renting can be stress-free and affordable. Hurr always has the best selection of brands for weddings, summer parties and holiday events and I always look out for brands like Tove and Cult Gaia for hero dresses. More recently, I’ve even started renting accessories and bags to complete the look.

I've always found shopping for one event stressful, so renting is the perfect solution. You invest less and have more fun. I have an event in Saudi which requires something modest – and this ruched burgundy Tove dress ticks all the boxes. I also have my eye on this Ulla mini for a landmark birthday. When it comes to accessories, the options are endless, but a few of my favourites details include gold, pearly finishes and plenty of crystals.

With upcoming parties, Christenings and weddings in the diary, I’ve started bookmarking pieces I can rent. Highlights for me include the Alaïa heart bag in this pale pink shade, and I’d also love to wear something from Magda Butrym. It’s also worth looking at high street pieces too, though, like this Massimo Dutti studio dress. I'd probably only wear it once, so it makes perfect sense to borrow it.

Renting has been such a game-changer for me and every year, the choices get better and better. I’m obsessed with the colour and texture of this dress. Teamed with the heels, clutch and jewellery, you’ve got a showstopper of a look for a very reasonable price.

After the post-Christmas lull, April feels like the time when parties, brunches, weddings and birthdays all call for a killer look. I love the idea of this Aje dress – a no brainer for a spring wedding or event. Elsewhere, these cool heels will dress up a simple party combo of jeans and a blazer. Finally, yellow is really on my radar right now, so this set and this dress are both calling my name.

It's always best to rent evening wear in my opinion because you can wear something statement without worrying about cost per wear. This longline brown satin dress is perfect for an understated event, but it can also be dressed up with a feather clutch and some embellished heels for a more polished look. In the warmer months, I like colourful dresses that can be paired with bold jewellery and a raffia clutch.
