CASHMERE IN LOVE

The Brand

Blending classic minimalism with a feminine aesthetic – all while taking a meticulous approach to fabric and quality – Cashmere In Love’s collection comprises easy everyday pieces which are refined and purposeful. Founder Esra Bezek Dikencik is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York, and her deep interest in colour and shapes has translated into beautiful cashmere pieces for the modern woman.

The Ethos

This forward-thinking brand offers sustainably sourced cashmere garments that reflect and fit in with modern lifestyles. Multi-faceted collections are designed to move beyond the seasons, with themes often drawn from surf trips and journeys to remote locations.

What’s Next?

Cashmere in Love’s goal is to continue creating timeless pieces in a slow, sustainable manner, so you can expect more hero styles across all collections for 2023. Plus, there’s also mini-me capsule for kids worth checking out.

LEAP CONCEPT

The Brand

Leap Concept is all about sophisticated knitwear, sustainability and innovation. Offering elevated lifestyle essentials that are just that little bit different, the brand supports the idea of building a ‘forever’ wardrobe instead of renewing it season after season. Think of this as slow fashion that isn’t a slave to trends.

The Ethos

Leap uses (GCS) cashmere sourced from ethical farms in Inner Mongolia, all of which are carefully and regularly monitored to ensure the best living standards for the animals. The yarn supplier is also a member of SFA (Sustainable Fibre Alliance)  and everything is dyed and spun with the environment in mind, ensuring there are no harmful chemicals used in the production process.

What’s Next?

Just last week the brand introduced ‘Pink Opal’, a small capsule collection consisting of chunky knit shorts, crew-neck jumpers and accessories – all in a super soft donegal yarn. There’s plenty more to come, too.

GOBI

The Brand

Mongolian-born Gobi cashmere is a new arrival in the UK and the brand’s mission is to produce luxurious, accessible and sustainable cashmere, so expect to find lots of classic and timeless designs that are made to last. Simple roll-necks and cardigans sit seamlessly alongside more modern designs, all in a versatile, neutral colour palette. With a focus on comfort and quality, all of Gobi’s pieces are crafted from the best quality yarns.

The Ethos

In order to keep things accessible, Gobi cuts out the middleman that traditionally drives up the cost. As a Mongolian company focused on sustainability, Gobi sources cashmere locally – humane treatment of the animals is deeply intertwined with environmental awareness and the brand only works with a few trusted herders who treat their flock like family.

What’s Next

Gobi’s hero styles are selling fast – including the Organic Colour Ajour crew neck – so we're hoping for a restock soon. With quality classics sitting at the heart of the brand, you can expect more of the same this year, along with plenty of seasonal updates on house signatures.

SANTOSH

The Brand

After failing to find the perfect shawl to sell in their multi-brand store in Helsinki, the Santosh founders set out to create their own. Today, the collection consists of modern classics like the Paro roll-neck and Luna cardigan, as well as a range of standout accessories. Designed in-house and made from the finest cashmere, the pieces are designed for women (and men) who value comfort, style and quality. Think of this as iconic Scandinavian minimalism.

The Ethos

Santosh is all about longevity and transparency. High-quality and long-lasting pieces are crafted out from cashmere sourced directly from the herders on the Mongolian tundra. The garments are then spun, dyed and manufactured in the brand’s factory in Ulaanbaatar under rigorous ethical, sustainable and social standards.

What’s Next

The brand’s accessories have been a hit this season, with the slouchy balaclava, in beige, grey and black cashmere, selling out almost instantly. While we wait for restocks, Santosh promises new colourways and styles for 2023, so watch this space.
