The Dark Denim
Willow Wide Jeans, £225 | Skall Studio
These have quickly become my favourite jeans this autumn. They just launched at Skall Studio, and while I usually wear blue jeans more or less every day, these have been such a good addition to my collection. The wide-leg fit is perfect, plus I know they’ll last for years to come.
The Slingbacks
Catrina Nappa Pumps, £325 | Aeyde
These kitten heels are a go-to whenever I need to dress up my look. I pretty much rely on the same few pieces for going out so it’s the accessories that elevate the finished result. These are so comfortable, and the pointy toe and low height make them so chic.
The Tee
The Clean Cut T-Shirt, £30 | COS
A good white t-shirt is a must-have for me and few places do them as well as COS. It doesn’t get any more basic, but it is a year-round staple in my wardrobe – great for layering under blazers, sweaters and coats – or just as it is with a long skirt or jeans in the summer. I like a bit of a thicker cotton, so this one is perfect.
The Overcoat
Mary Coat, £540 | Skall Studio
I like to invest in quality coats that will last for several seasons – I think they are a great way to bring a look together with minimal effort. This navy cotton coat is one I come back to every autumn.
The White Shirt
Edgar Shirt, £120 | Skall Studio
We all know a white shirt should be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe – it’s just so versatile. To make it your own, play with the fit, shape and shade. This one is a lighter cream colour and it has a boxier shape. I love wearing it tucked into jeans and layered under knits and coats.
The Statement Earrings
Chips Earrings, From $180 | Ted Muehling
I recently got these earrings from Ted Muehling in Tokyo, and I have worn them pretty much every day since. To me they are the perfect balance of simple and refined, but they’re also unique. They work day to night, too.
The Colour Pop
Campa Jumper, £330 | Skall Studio
This sweater will keep me warm all winter, but it will also add a bit of colour to my otherwise quite neutral wardrobe.
The Maxi Skirt
Pure Wool Column Maxi Skirt, £95 | COS
A black maxi skirt is pretty much the only skirt I’ve had in my wardrobe over the past few years. I have a few I shift between – they’re so simple and go with everything in my wardrobe.
The Classic Denim
Twisted Seam Denim Full Length Jeans, £290 | Totême
Like I said, blue jeans are a constant in my wardrobe. These are classic but with a bit of a looser fit than my beloved vintage Levi’s. I wear them with everything – for work with knits and ballerinas, then for dinner parties with a blazer and a kitten heel.
The Everyday Bag
Large N/S Park Tote Bag in Leather, £2,220 | The Row
Bags are my weakness and I was lucky to find this vintage one from The Row in Japan. This specific style isn’t sold anymore, but the brand does a lot of similar designs. It fits all my everyday essentials – a book, my wallet, notebooks, pens and my phone. The dark brown leather is buttery soft and I know it’s going to age really well.
The Blazer
Yoko Blazer, £450 | Skall Studio
Over the years I’ve amassed quite a large collection of blazers – both new and vintage. For autumn/winter I like a wool blazer to keep me warm, while still feeling put together. Classic black works with everything.
