Street Style Get The Look

Not sure what to wear this week? Let the street style stars be your guide. We’ve scoured Instagram for four of the coolest outfits to replicate, with SL’s Fashion Editor and Fashion Assistant weighing in on each look…

Look 1

Charlotte Collins: I love this Bottega inspired look on a budget. Oversized blazers, quilted bags and chunky boots are all so on trend, but their subtle colours and classic shapes allow them to work together seamlessly.

Polly Sayer: I’m desperate to start wearing autumn clothes, but this look demonstrates how to make a blazer and boots work for milder weather. Pairing them with shorts and low denier tights makes for a cool transitional look.

Look 2

CC: The perfect high-low balance, this is a masterclass in making a blazer and satin midi feel more down to earth. Chunky boots, gold accessories and plenty of attitude toughen up these otherwise classic pieces.

PS: Combat boots never go out of style and I love how Erna uses hers to lend some edge to this satin midi skirt. The cream blazer lifts the palette – just add gold jewellery for a smart casual look.

Look 3

CC: Consider this the grown-up way to nail autumn/winter’s biggest trends. Pointed boots and a smart midi are balanced out with a muscle tee and shacket – the perfect polished, everyday look.

PS: A pleated skirt and knee-high boots are an easy autumn win, but Janelle gives the combination a modern feel with a shoulder pad tank. Complete the look with a longline shacket for extra style points.

Look 4

CC: A modern twist on a Parisian look, I love the injection of red – it adds interest to this otherwise simple outfit.

PS: Black leather with a pop of red is a shortcut to looking chic, but Tess goes one step further by adding an on-trend peter pan collar. This outfit is both playful yet subtly sexy – perfect for date night.
