Cool Belts

As someone who didn’t really wear belts up until last year, I am now really obsessed with them. They can transform a more minimal outfit into something far more interesting and eye-catching. I love the Khaite belts but I’m also into the revival of the 90s Gucci belt too. Elsewhere, I also love the beauty of a simple leather belt – which you can get anywhere, especially on the high street right now.

Trenches

If there’s one thing I think everyone needs in their spring wardrobe, it’s a really good trench. Not only do they go with everything, but they also make any outfit that little bit chicer. I’m leaning towards more minimal silhouettes and details this season. I bought one from The Frankie Shop last month and have worn it so much already.

Wide-Leg Denim

I feel like I could spend my life looking for the perfect pair of jeans – it’s truly a never-ending hunt. Right now, however, I’m really into a wider-leg silhouette. I love the way they look with a more tailored top half, especially with a long coat when you can see a wide leg cuff poking out at the bottom. At the moment I’m wearing mine with a mix of boots and loafers, but fingers crossed I’ll soon be swapping these out for some cool sandals.

Chocolate Brown Bags

Usually by this time I’d be on a wicker bag craze – hoarding all sorts of shapes and sizes for the months ahead. Instead, I’ve carried forward an autumnal trend: the chocolate brown bag. I love the contrast between a lighter spring look against a brown leather or suede bag to add a bit of interest.

Loafers

I feel like we’re heading into a very preppy spring/summer this year. Perhaps it was last year's Miu Miu effect but all I want to wear is loafers. Bonus points for a polo knit, too. I bought my first pair of G.H. Bass loafers on a whim last year and now they’re literally all I wear. They look good on everyone and with everything – from denim to dresses. Plus, they’re extremely comfy.
