I’m looking for either a clutch bag or a crossbody bag for going ‘out out’. Something around the £50 mark – I’m not keen to spend a fortune as it’s not an investment piece. Cream or taupe is my preference…
I just spotted this little bag on H&M – the handle makes it look so expensive, very Bottega inspired. Another brand I would check out is Reserved. It has mini cream bag that would be so useful – I like the fact it has two straps and the price is great.
If you’re willing to be a little flexible on colour, there are so many great metallic options on the high street right now. I especially like this little braided one from Mango and, similarly, this one from Zara. Silver is such a versatile option and will go with so many outfits.
I’m looking for some spring/summer trouser suits that can be worn with trainers for a smart but comfortable work look. I’m open to all colours and cuts, and my budget is around £200-£400 per suit…
This pink suit is new at Mint Velvet and would be a lovely option for spring/summer. Another brand that comes to mind is Massimo Dutti. I love this black wool option; it would work with trainers now but also sandals as the weather warms up. I like the oversized fit of this white suit. I would also try & Other Stories – I love this design with the double-breasted buttons and padded shoulders.
I’m looking for some cool new gym wear – both colourful pieces and black styles. Can you help?
Visit Free People online – it has such a range of pieces. There are lots of colours on there, but I love all the browns – as well as this black rosette onesie for something a bit different. You can see all the options here. I also recently tried a couple of things from Adanola and was impressed by the quality. I love the red leggings for a pop of colour, and the new burgundy shade, which has a matching fleece, is so nice. Finally, I would recommend visiting Varley in store in London if possible – it’s so chic. The muted colours all mix and match so well.
I’m in the market for some new jeans, but I find a lot of high-street ones quickly go baggy. Any thoughts on where I should look?
I’ve tried a few pairs of high-street jeans recently that I actually thought were great – especially the low-rise jean from Abercrombie. Also, River Island is so good for denim; the quality is great – I have my eye on this high-waisted baggy pair. Finally, I’ve always rated H&M jeans, and these wide-leg ecru jeans look like they’re a great shape.
My wedding is in July, so I’m looking for some silk or satin slippers to wear on the morning. Ideally something fashion forward or a little bit different…
Always look at Zara Home. It has some of the chicest slippers, so it would probably be perfect for this. I love this feather-trimmed style, but there are also more pared-back satin options, a lace pair and I love the embroidered detail on these ones.
I’m going to an event abroad that has a ‘Caribbean Chic’ dress code – any ideas for an outfit? The weather will be hot...
Take a look at the new limited-edition collection at H&M. It's so chic and has some amazing pieces. My favourites are the light, crepe maxi dresses and the pink textured kaftans – perfect for warm weather. There are some great colourful pieces, too – especially the yellow dresses – and plenty of statement accessories to go with. I especially love the shell clutch and hammered earrings.
