My interview took place this time last year, so I was dressing for transitional weather. I chose a knitted dress and knee-high boots as this combination always makes me feel comfortable, smart and polished. I completed the look with a wool blazer and an understated bag. I also wore my everyday jewellery, so it all felt true to who I am.

Mine was a Zoom interview – and they are still a thing in today's world. It was really important for me to showcase a smarter upper-half so I opted this sleek high-neck jumper with a cropped blazer and a simple pair of hoops. While it can be easy not to bother with the bottom half, I wore silky black trousers to ensure I felt put together.

I’d advise choosing something that feels like your personal style while also being really considerate of brands. Choosing an outfit for an interview in the fashion industry is a tricky thing to get right. Trend led and smart don’t always go hand in hand, so I opted for strong staple pieces that felt polished but still with a bit of edge. That included a full leather skirt and statement gold jewellery.
