Everything Poppy Sexton-Wainwright is Loving Right Now

Regular readers will know we’re big fans of Poppy Sexton-Wainwright’s cult resort wear brand Asceno – so we’re hardly surprised that her good taste and discerning eye extends to art, beauty and travel, too. From her skincare essentials to her latest interiors discovery, here’s everything she’s loving right now.

All products on this page have been selected by our editorial team, however we may make commission on some products.

*1. The Art*

I have a stunning painting by Heath Wae called Like Dew Drops on the Lotus – it's my favourite thing in my home because it makes such a statement. I bought it from my close friend, India Montgomery, who founded The Edition 94 and contemporary art gallery The Dot Project – she has an incredible eye.

*2. The Jeans*

I love denim and have always been a jeans girl but recently, I’ve become obsessed with Khaite jeans. They’re expensive, but I wear them all the time so the cost per wear must be pretty good. I’ve bought the Danielle jeans in three different colours – they’re the perfect fit and go with everything.

*3. The Jewellery*

Gold jewellery is my weakness. I rarely leave the house without adding some gold jewellery to finish off my look and my latest obsession is the brand By Pariah. I love their stacking rings and have a few I wear every day. I also like a gold chain – the gold trombone necklace by Lucy Delius is high on my wish list.

*4. The Book*

Every year I promise myself I will read more, but it doesn’t always happen. This summer I’m going away for a week with girlfriends child-free, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish a book! The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion is what I plan on taking with me.

*5. The Beauty Essentials*

I don’t tend to wear a lot of make-up, but I do invest in skincare – I really notice a difference when I use the right products. My essentials include the Sisley black rose face mask, Irene Forte’s Rich Night Cream and the Charlotte Tilbury primer with SPF50. It took a lot of experimenting to find these hero products, but I couldn’t be without any of them now.

*6. The Co-Ord*

Co-ords are big news this season and I love how easy they are to dress up or down. We just launched this blue and white striped poplin co-ord in a new cotton/silk material and I’m living in it – easy and comfortable around the house, but good enough to wear out too.

*7. The Escape*

I’m going to Mallorca at the end of July for a friend’s wedding and we’re staying at Finca Serena just outside Palma – which has long been on my bucket list. It’s set among some stunning vineyards and the food and wine look incredible.

*8. The Bag*

I don't often buy bags but when I do, I invest. I use my Celine Bucket Bag every day because it fits everything I need –laptop, diary, fabric swatches and snacks for the kids. I have my eye on The Row Slouchy Banana bag next. It’s the perfect size for an evening out and the leather is impossibly soft.

*9. The Colour*

Right now I can’t get enough of bright pink – or, more specifically, bubblegum pink. Recently, we reimagined our classic linen suit in this feminine colour – just in time for the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film. Trust me, it’s the colour of the summer.

*10. The Routine*

I love a night-time routine. At the moment, mine is a Pilates class followed by a Monkey 47 gin and tonic and a bath, before a five-minute meditation in bed with my Asceno eye mask on – 99% of the time I’m asleep before it’s over.

*11. The Gadget*

As a skincare junkie it should come as no surprise to hear I’m into all the gadgets, too. I just bought an LED facemask from NET-A-PORTER and I’m excited to see the results. It’s definitely a trend I’m willing to try.

*12. The Hobby*

I’m determined to get back into playing tennis regularly. I have two new outfits from Varley and Alex Eagle – so at least I look the part.

*13. The Workout*

I like to pretend that I live in the sunshine and do Fluidform at Home three times a week. I love that can choose 15-20-minute workouts, which is usually all I can face. I wish that was followed by a swim at the Bondi Icebergs, but alas no…

*14. The Interiors*

I love finding fresh interiors inspiration. Currently I’m loving anything by Rose Uniacke – she is the epitome of effortless style. I try to inject a little of bit of her aesthetic into my home where I can.

*15. The Shoe*

I live in flats – there’s no other option when you’re constantly running around after the kids or for work. I love a cool trainer and I have my eye on these adidas ones, which I know will go with everything in my wardrobe.
