My personal style is best described as simple and chic, with boho influences. I try not to focus too much on brands. There are some that feel really aligned with my aesthetic like Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant, Celine and Chloé, but the brands I actually shop from change a lot. It’s important to stay inspired and curious. Right now, I’m really loving Nili Lotan – for denim, especially.

I wear jeans every day. Pretty much every outfit starts with a pair of jeans. Then, if I don’t know what to wear, it would be a white t-shirt and a black jacket. It sounds boring, but if you choose the right accessories, it’s the perfect easy look.

Boho is a constant theme in my wardrobe. I love fringed jackets layered over white cotton dresses or skirts – or even jeans. It’s that Chloé girl vibe. I’ve also embraced the return of ballet flats. They’re the most comfortable shoes and now every brand has their own version.

My favourite silhouettes are ALWAYS FROM THE 80S – think big shoulder pads. That era really INSPIRES ME.

I love red. It’s such a timeless colour. The easiest way to style it now is through your shoes or bag – the little details are key. If you’re brave enough to do something a little more out there, I love the idea of a red coat – & Other Stories has a great one.

My style has definitely evolved over the years. About four years ago, I was a big fan of oversized fits – be it a blazer, sweatshirt or joggers. Now I like a little more balance. If the trousers are looser, I’ll always highlight or cinch in my waist. I also prefer lower-waisted jeans. I never understood the appeal before, but I absolutely do now. My favourite silhouettes are always from the 80s – think big shoulder pads. That era really inspires me.

Accessories are my favourite part of putting an outfit together. I’ve loved bags and jewellery since I was a child. I’ll always throw on a cool pair of vintage statement earrings. I also believe in investing in the classics. For example, my favourite sunglasses are the Triomphe style from Celine. For belts, my go-to brands are Saint Laurent or Celine. As for bags, the Loewe Puzzle or Celine belt bags are ones I’d recommend investing in. I also have a Jane Birkin-style basket bag ready for summer.

The most unexpected purchases tend to happen in vintage and second-hand shops. I actually tried to sell my favourite vintage jacket once, but received a notification that the buyer never got the parcel – so it was sent back to me. I decided this was a sign to keep it. Chloé recently showed a jacket that’s very similar, so I’m happy it's still in my wardrobe.

I have so many fashion muses – Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are just a few. It’s probably an obvious list, but these women have really shaped my style. I particularly love looking at archival photos for fresh inspo.

There are some great people worth following on Instagram. I follow Claire Rose and Felicia Akerstrom for inspiration – their style is casual but in a really elegant way. I also love Courtney Grow. When I need a bit of glamour in my life, Elsa Hosk and Emili Sindlev are who I look at. I think of Emili like a modern Carrie Bradshaw.

As for trends, STUDY THEM but don't take them as gospel. DIP INTO WHAT YOU REALLY LOVE and can wear repeatedly.

There are some style rules to keep in mind. Try to stick to the three-colour rule: an outfit shouldn't involve more than three colours. Another is to follow fewer trends, and rely on the classics more. My own current style resolution is to start wearing skirts and dresses more.

It’s not worth copying someone else's style. This is a piece of advice I always give people. Instead, take inspiration, but try to add your own touch. Also, don't be afraid to experiment – you can always change your mind before you leave the house. As for trends, study them but don't take them as gospel. Dip into what you really love and can wear repeatedly, rather than looks that’ll have a short lifespan.
