You can’t go wrong with any meal here, but I’ve enjoyed a number of great breakfasts at Cafe Cecilia. My top pick is the Scandi-style bread, eggs and cheese plate with the famous Guinness bread. Perched on the canal in East London, it’s fun to wander along the water before or after your meal. For a relaxed weekend brunch like this, I love a denim maxi skirt, paired with a chunky knit, chic jacket and some Sambas.

Italo is my favourite local spot to wander to for a coffee, so you’ll usually find me in leggings and trainers – aka my stroll attire. If you’re not familiar with Italo, it’s a little Italian spot tucked away in a leafy square in Vauxhall – a local institution famed for its chunky focaccia sandwiches. Come winter or summer, customers spill out onto red chairs in the street. A cosy coat is essential so you can do the same. In the winter sun, it almost feels like you’re in Italy. Almost.

The challenge here is to look half as good as the dreamy interiors. Dalla is a new Italian spot in Hackney serving fresh pasta, spritzes and tiramisu. The holy trinity. Just like the restaurant, I dressed in all white with some pops of yellow and grounding warm tones. I’d recommend keeping it simple, with some accessories to elevate.

My favourite places have that je ne sais quoi, which Bistro Freddie has in buckets. Nothing says decadence quite like pie, chips and sticky toffee pudding. For dinner at this hotspot, you don’t want to go too dressy – an oversized blazer, some heeled boots and grandpa-style glasses are in keeping with the understated and elegant vibe.

Drinks call for something a little spicier, like a mini skirt and heeled boots. Admittedly in the winter, I’d add some 15-denier tights and rent a Charlotte Simone coat from Hurr to throw on top. I always love the atmosphere at Sessions Arts Club and the delicious cocktails. The interiors are to die for, though in the warmer months you can’t beat a drink on one of the roof terraces. If you can, stay for food – or at least some giant olives and oysters.
