5 Lesser-Known Labels We Love
Loretta Caponi
Established in 1967, Loretta Caponi was until recently little known outside of Italy and beyond its store in Florence. This artisanal atelier, which is steeped in history and tradition, has been passed down through generations and is now helmed by Loretta’s daughter Lucia and grandson Guido. The brand is celebrated for its exquisite lingerie, beachwear and summer dresses – all with that distinctive Italian charm and elegance. While an investment purchase, each design is meticulously handcrafted, showcasing intricate 'catenella' embroidery and delicate lace trims. Some of our favourites – like the Teresa and Bianca dresses – perfectly demonstrate the brand’s attention to detail with their beautiful broderie trims and expert fit. Pair with rattan accessories and a wide-brimmed hat for that Italian Riviera flair.

Pink Lemons
Pink Lemons, a small family business based in Cornwall, is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team Leah and Paul. They find inspiration for their brand from the Cornish lifestyle and their love for India. What started as sketches on the kitchen table has evolved into a stylish and sustainable brand driven by a passion for femininity, vibrant colours and organic fabrics. Each piece is thoughtfully designed with its own personality. We love Lola, a versatile dress with timeless appeal that has been crafted from upcycled vintage saris – featuring feminine blouson sleeves, a comfortable elasticated waistline and a detachable sash, Lola is the perfect everyday dress that you'll reach for again and again throughout the year. For a polished silhouette, simply cinch the waistline to your desired fit.

Daydress
British womenswear label Daydress creates stunning hand-block printed cotton dresses, skirts, and tops. The brand's founder, Gabby Deeming, draws inspiration from her background as a creative director for interiors and her passion for historic patterned textiles. The brand works closely with block-printers in Jaipur, India, and uses specially commissioned khadi cotton or silk from Madhya Pradesh and Bengal to ensure a traceable and meticulous production process. Each piece is hand-cut, lined with cotton and crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. Our pick for the summer is the Travelling dress – light and comfortable, and true to the brand’s style, it is hand-block printed in the pretty yellow Jodphur stripe with flower detailing. The gently frilled collar adds a feminine touch, while the side-drawstrings allow you to customise the fit to flatter your shape.

Dea Kudibal
Danish label Dea Kudibal was founded in 2003 with a collection of vintage fabric scarves and shawls. Since then, the brand has expanded into a full clothing line featuring feminine prints, vibrant colours and flattering silhouettes. The brand’s signature stretch silk fabric adds a touch of luxury yet durability to each collection. One of our favourites this season is The Manon, a tiered maxi dress that combines effortless style with a hint of drama – we love the voluminous balloon sleeves, the flattering deep V-neckline and the timeless soft floral print.
