5 Autumn Outfits With A Top Blogger

If you’re not already following Debbie Le – aka Instagram’s The Fashionable Pan – you’re missing a trick. The mum of two is a team SL favourite thanks to her ability to make even the most affordable of high-street outfits look designer. We joined forces with Debbie to show you five of her favourite new-season looks. From unexpected colour combinations to some seriously sophisticated styles, she proves looking good for autumn doesn’t have to cost a fortune…
My tip for pulling off double leather? Break it up with a different colour.

Leather Cropped Straight Trousers | Marks & Spencer | £199, Pure Collection Carolina Cashmere Roll Neck Jumper | John Lewis | £110, Leather Overshirt | River Island | £38, Ola Leather Zebra Print Stiletto Ankle Boots | AND/OR | £139

My favourite trend this season is leather. Whether you want to invest in the real deal or would rather go faux, start with trousers because they’re such an easy piece to wear – preferably cropped and high-waisted to show a bit of ankle.

Zara is my first port of call on the high street, but I also love M&S and John Lewis. I’ll also always check out River Island and New Look – I don’t really discriminate!

H&M’s white tiger is a stand-out two-piece – chic, classic with a nod to the trend, and it looks designer at a high-street price. It can stay in your wardrobe forever and you can wear them as separates too.

Jacquard-Knit Skirt | H&M | £19.99, Knitted Stand-Up Collar Jumper | H&M | £24.99, High-Heel Leather Boots | Arket | £250,

I love hats. I’ll be investing in a baker boy for Autumn/Winter. Everyone should also buy a chunky tartan scarf – they’re everywhere right now.

A Burberry trench is the piece I go back to every Autumn/Winter. I’ve had mine for years, and it never goes out of style.

I really believe you should never be afraid to try new trends. Fashion should be fun, and you should experiment. I love incorporating pink into everything. Whether it’s a shoe, a bag or a lipstick, this suit is so easily elevated by an unexpected injection of the colour.

If you’re going to buy one thing this season, make it a classic winter coat. Pick something that won’t go out of style – an oversized Crombie, for example.

Blend Double Breasted Overcoat | Marks & Spencer | £99, Bethan Croc Effect Leather Ankle Boots | LK Bennet | £325, Snakeskin Print Dress | Zara | £49.99

Buttoned Blazer | Zara | £69.99, Darted Trousers | Zara | £29.99, V Vamp High Heel Shoes | Zara | £29.99

On Instagram, I love following
Blair Eadie (@blaireadiebee). She’s so good at mixing unexpected colours. My mum is my ultimate inspiration and the person who gave me my fashion confidence – she’s the one who taught me how to wear leather!

My tip for looking good in your 40s? Invest in some key timeless pieces that you can wear again and again like a well-fitted blazer, a nice pair of mid-wash high-waisted jeans, a cashmere knit and a smart ankle boot/shoe with a mid-heel. Then add some trend styles to mix it up. Overall, have the confidence to be individual, have fun with fashion and wear whatever makes you happy. That’s what matters.
