3 Cool Brands To Know
BOURRIENNE
The Story
Founded by hotel owner Charles Beigbeder and designer Cécile Faucheur in 2017, Bourrienne's focus is the perfect white shirt. The collection features several iterations of this wardrobe staple, mixing period influences with more contemporary cuts and details. The result is beautiful, considered pieces.
The Style
There really is something for everyone here – from French collarsand pleated bibs to bow-tie sleeves, frills and ruffles. You’ll also find classic styles in the collection, each with the utmost attention paid to cut and detail. Everything is crafted from organic cotton sourced from Egypt and California, or crisp Normandy linen, too.
What’s Different
The brand is unwavering in its authenticity. Operating out of a street-facing space in the Hôtel Bourrienne in the 10th arrondissement in Paris, the brand's inspiration reflects the rich history of the building – the likes of Victor Hugo and Bonaparte spent time in the historic drawing rooms, wearing white cotton shirts of course.
What’s Next
Having already collaborated with designer Olivier Theyskens on a five-piece, limited-edition collection of women’s shirts, we’re sure there will be more special projects to come in 2023.

JEANERICA
The Story
Founded in 2018, Stockholm-based Jeanerica offers contemporary premium denim that’s made to last. Focused on the classics, Jeanerica reworks timeless denim shapes to create an everyday uniform that can be worn, kept and re-styled for years to come.
The Style
The range features all the essential styles in beautiful washes. The Gaia, for example, is a classic straight, five-pocket denim silhouette cropped to reveal just a little bit of ankle. The Eiffel is a longer five-pocket silhouette – think classic American blue jeans given a European design perspective. Alongside the hero jean styles, you’ll find jackets, crewneck knits, shirts and tees.
What’s Different
No detail is overlooked, even the faded creases on the thighs of jeans (usually referred to as ‘whiskers'). The signature Jeanerica patch on each pair is made from FSC* certified paper instead of leather to ensure the jeans are vegan friendly.
What’s Next
This season, the brand is launching The Roma shorts – modelled on the signature Roma jeans with high-rise waist and jetted pockets. They’ll be available in vintage-washed deep blue, Miami pink and natural white, while the Rodeo jean – a new Western-inspired five-pocket silhouette – is also expected to drop soon.

WILSCHAU
The Story
Wilschau was founded in 2020 and aims to combine fashion heritage with a modern and sustainable approach to design through elevated wardrobe classics like the trench coat. It also works closely with fabric suppliers and artisans to ensure the utmost quality and best sustainable practices.
The Style
Expect fashion and functionality, classic silhouettes and a sophisticated colour palette. The Concordia trench with its cocoon-shaped sleeves is our pick of the season. Perfect for this time of year, it has traditional detailing, and is made from waterproof twill and recycled cotton – making it as practical as it is stylish. If you’re looking for something a bit different, the Arizona cape-style is also a good option.
What’s Different
Sustainability has been an essential focus of the brand since inception. As well as ensuring fabrics are functional, the brand uses recycled cotton, considered cashmere and alternative leather solutions, as well as silks which are biodegradable and water repellent.
What’s Next
The brand will continue to evolve its signature designs – like the Conncordia and the Gaia – this year in new colours and fabrics. From herringbone to subtle checks and silky nylon, we’re hoping for subtle updates on core styles in 2023.
