We love an authentic, independent brand at SL, and Strathberry is exactly that. Founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Guy and Leeanne Hundleby, the Edinburgh-based brand is a winning combination of clean, simple design and function. After living in the mountain regions of southern Spain with their children, the couple stumbled across picturesque villages filled with generations of craftspeople working with leather. Inspired by the unparalleled talent and attention to detail they saw, they set out to create a luxury brand that reflected these roots.

Blending modernity with traditional craftsmanship, Strathberry’s range includes a plethora of minimal and functional designs, each defined by architectural lines and finished with the brand’s signature metal bar closure. If you’re looking for a cool, new bag to invest in, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Some of our favourites include the Lana Osette – a small bucket style – and the East West, a sophisticated, structured shoulder bag with a chain handle.

All of Strathberry’s leather bags and accessories are handcrafted in Spain by the same skilled artisans Guy and Leeanne met years ago, and each bag takes a minimum of 20 hours to make. Attention to detail and contemporary details are at the heart of the production process. “Creativity and quality are at the very core of Strathberry. We don’t cut corners, and we love the fact we can offer customers a product that’s so carefully designed and beautifully made, yet still at an accessible price point,” Leeanne tells us. The cashmere is also consciously crafted in line with the brand’s ethos around quality and commitment to animal welfare.
