New BYAN Collection

The latest capsule collection from Madrid-based label BYAN features tartan coats and heritage checks – think sharp blazers with the brand’s signature long lapel in soft velvet and full-length coats, some with hoods. The Edgefall collection combines a country look with quality design and each garment is made in Spain from high-quality materials, like 100% lightweight wool which allows breathability and is ideal for autumn and spring, or layered for winter. Look out, too, for the new store which has just opened in Covent Garden where you can see the full collection.

Citizens Of Soil

Since it launched its olive oil subscription membership in 2021, Citizens of Soil has connected small-batch farmers with consumers via sommelier-selected extra virgin olive oils delivered in pouches through letterboxes each month. Now, it has designed a ceramic bottle with a striking gold pourer for the ideal flow. Inspired by the Mediterranean and made by the Salgueiro family in Porto, each bottle is made in small batches over five days and crafted from earthenware clay sourced in the Aveiro region on the west coast of Portugal. It features a tactile rough-to-touch lower half for grip and is glazed in a neutral palette. The bottle and a subscription would make an original Christmas present for a keen foodie.

Sézane x Antoinette Poisson

Sézane has recently launched a limited-edition collection in collaboration with French homeware brand Antoinette Poisson, renowned for its artisanal wallpapers and decorative papers. Marking ten years of friendship between the two brands and inspired by Antoinette Poisson’s mastery of 18th-century papiers dominotés (hand-coloured and block-printed papers once used to line furniture, walls and books), ten signature patterns are reimagined across the collection which includes sweaters, coats and matching sets  for the whole family as well as a lovely edit of home goods.
Expect geometric motifs, intricate florals and hand-drawn bouquets bridging heritage and modernity. We particularly love the retro feeling co-ords and oversized-bow blouses.

Opening this December, Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin marks the brand’s debut winter resort and its second property in mainland France. Situated within the Jardin Alpin enclave of Courchevel 1850, one of the world’s most iconic ski destinations, the property reimagines the glamour of Courchevel’s 1960s golden age while embracing the vibrant spirit that has long defined the French Alps. Margaret Atwood, Book Of Lives: A Memoir Of Sorts

From a childhood in the wild forest of northern Quebec to penning some of the seminal works of modern fiction, Margaret Atwood details the twists and turns of her remarkable life in characteristically elegant and insightful prose. Raised by scientifically minded parents – entomologist father, dietician mother – Atwood’s childhood was unfettered and nomadic, sometimes isolated but also thrilling and beautiful. From this unconventional start, Atwood unfolds the story of her life, linking seminal moments to the books that have shaped our literary landscape – from the cruel year that spawned Cat’s Eye to divided 1980s Berlin where she began The Handmaid’s Tale. In pages bursting with bohemian gatherings, major political turning points, reading, books and her lifelong love for the charismatic writer Graeme Gibson, we meet poets, bears, Hollywood actors and larger-than-life characters straight from the pages of an Atwood novel.

Trogolo

Lara Boglione made her name with Petersham Nurseries and, now, she and her husband Giovanni Mazzei have opened a new Tuscan bar and trattoria in London’s Notting Hill where people can drop in for aperitivos and cheese, a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, or stay for a drawn-out dinner. Located on Westbourne Grove, the restaurant is named Trogolo, which is Italian for ‘trough’ and recalls the communal stone basins found across Tuscany – simple, essential and at the heart of daily life. Expect unfussy, wholesome Florentine cooking with bold flavours, shaped by Lara's passion for seasonality. The impressive wine list is drawn from Giovanni’s Tuscan roots and over five centuries of family winemaking.

Fackham Hall

Fackham Hall is the perfect period satirical comedy film to welcome in the winter months. A spoof that crosses Downton Abbey with Airplane! and Monty Python, the film follows loveable pick-pocket Eric Noone (Ben Radcliffe) as he lands a job at a unique English manor house. He quickly rises through the ranks and a forbidden romance with lady-of-the-house Rose Davenport (Thomasin McKenzie) blossoms. But when an unexpected murder occurs, Eric gets framed, leaving Rose and her family’s future perilously uncertain. Also starring Damian Lewis and Emma Laird, it's written by comedian Jimmy Carr, so expect risqué humour in this raucous whodunnit caper.

In cinemas from 12th December.

The Ordinary Volufiline 92% + Pal-Isoleucine 1%

While many anti-ageing products focus on hydration, smoothing and lifting, few directly address volume loss. Volufiline 92% + Pal-Isoleucine 1% is The Ordinary’s first targeted solution designed to visibly address volume loss at its source. It’s a plumping serum that helps restore lost volume in key facial areas such as under the eyes, the temples, cheeks and smile lines. Designed for precision, it supports areas most impacted by natural age-related fat depletion and, unlike traditional Volufiline formulas that require mixing, this water-free serum delivers the ingredient directly to the skin, with no dilution required.
